Job Description
TEKsystems is seeking a Cloud Developer to support AFSOC in the Mary Esther, FL area. In this contract role, you will design, develop, deploy, and sustain secure AWS cloud-based solutions that enable mission-critical command and control operations, spanning development, test, and production environments.
This position focuses on scalable AWS implementation, infrastructure automation, and secure application hosting, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD and cloud modernization. Work will also include troubleshooting complex cloud issues and helping maintain security compliance across IL5 and IL6 AWS environments and mission applications used in both garrison and deployed operations.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, deploy, and sustain secure cloud-based solutions supporting mission-critical command and control operations
- Build and maintain scalable AWS solutions while supporting infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, cloud modernization, and secure application hosting
- Participate across the cloud development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, optimization, and ongoing production support
- Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and support cloud-hosted applications across development, test, and production
- Implement automation solutions and maintain security compliance requirements
- Enable cloud-based Command, Control, and Mission Systems (C2MS) using IL5 and IL6 AWS environments, global command-and-control networks, and mission applications for both garrison and deployed operations
Required qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years supporting enterprise-level cloud environments in production
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and AWS CLI
- Infrastructure as Code experience using CloudFormation and Ansible
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions
- Docker containerization experience
- Linux (RHEL) and Windows administration experience
- Scripting experience with Python and Bash
- Experience supporting DevSecOps environments and secure cloud architectures
- Identity and Access Management experience with IAM, Active Directory, PKI, and Keycloak
- Ability to troubleshoot cloud applications across development, test, and production while maintaining compliance with RMF, STIG, and SCAP
- Experience with GitHub and GitLab version control
- Strong documentation skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
Preferred / differentiating experience
- Experience supporting DoD, SOCOM, or AFSOC programs (highly preferred)
- Linux+, Red Hat SSO, and cloud migration experience (strong differentiators)

Compensation and benefits
Pay range: USD 120,000 - 135,000 per yearly. Individual compensation offered within this range depends on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
