Backend Software Engineers

Backend Software Engineers are sought for the CommandIQ program, onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 150,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Technical Interchange Meetings
• Support Agile Release Train scrums and planning sessions
• Break down high level roadmap features into concrete, actionable work items
• Design, implement, integrate, and test software features
• Conduct peer reviews and troubleshoot issues with fellow software engineers
• Engage in technical discussions to define and resolve overarching software architecture needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify project requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

• U.S. citizen with a valid passport
• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline
• 2+ years of professional experience
• Experience or familiarity with Rust (or C) and Java
• Exposure to backend containerization concepts using Docker
• Exposure or familiarity with gRPC for framework development
• Direct experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
