Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & Data Services

Design and deliver cloud and data services that support critical national security missions in the Fort Meade area.

• Role focus: data-intensive, cloud-based software systems including applications, APIs, scripts, services, and DevOps configurations
• Location: Linthicum, MD (onsite)
• Experience: 7+ years
• Education: Bachelors degree
• Salary: USD 131,800 - 290,000 per yearly

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications, APIs, scripts, and services
• Implement feature requirements, improve existing functionality, and resolve software defects
• Maintain source code in Git-based repositories
• Create and update DevOps configuration files and deployment scripts
• Investigate and help resolve escalated customer issues with timely delivery
• Perform data routing, transformation, and enrichment across diverse systems
• Collaborate with data providers and data consumers to support integration and system performance

Requirements

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Education and experience: Bachelors degree with 7+ years of experience
• Experience developing APIs
• Proficiency with AWS services
• Experience using Terraform
• Scripting skills ( Python preferred )
• Familiarity with Git and Jira

Preferred / Desired

• Experience in at least four of the following:
  • JavaScript
  • Regular Expressions (RegEx)
  • REST services
  • Python frameworks
  • Elasticsearch or Splunk
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Elastic Beats)

Pay Range Note: Final salary can vary based on geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Proposed salary range: $131,800 - $290,000.
