Backend Software Engineer - Infrastructure, Foundations

Simple Software, Inc. is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain core infrastructure and backend capabilities. The role focuses on dependable backend services, reliable APIs, and foundational tools, with an emphasis on performance, stability, security, and practical troubleshooting in collaboration with engineering teams.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and infrastructure components
• Build reliable APIs and scalable system integrations
• Improve application performance, stability, and security
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve system bottlenecks
• Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture and design
• Write automated tests and maintain technical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with backend development and server-side programming
• Knowledge of databases, APIs, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment tools
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Compensation

USD 130,000 - 175,000 per year
