Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure

Oracle is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Core Infrastructure in Nashville, TN (onsite). This role focuses on provisioning and firmware automation, along with lifecycle-management capabilities that help move complex hardware platforms into production at OCI scale. You will work to strengthen validation processes and operational workflows while partnering across teams to address hardware-software integration issues.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain provisioning, firmware-management, and hardware lifecycle services.
• Support the qualification and on-boarding of new server, GPU, NIC, SmartNIC, and storage platforms.
• Build automation for firmware validation, metadata generation, compliance checks, and deployment readiness.
• Investigate and resolve production issues spanning provisioning, firmware, and hardware-management systems.
• Improve service reliability, scalability, and operational documentation.
• Provide on-call support for customer fleet issues in OCI data centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, production-ready hardware launches.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, on-call support, and post-incident improvements.
