Job Description
Drive modern pharmaceutical supply chain data foundations by building scalable data pipelines, custom web apps, and AI workflows for clinical and commercial operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement modern data foundations and pipelines to meet business needs.
- Apply innovation and technology solutions (including Databricks, Python, and Agentic AI) to manage data and deliver advanced insights.
- Develop custom WebApps to support Proof-of-Concept solutions, later industrialized in a React Platform.
- Streamline workflows by reducing manual effort using advanced automation and machine learning.
- Contribute to Data Strategy and a Strategic Roadmap for future-ready systems and intelligent data architectures.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures using Databricks, Python, Dataverse, and advanced SQL.
- Transform raw operational data from SAP, MES, LIMS, and other manufacturing and supply systems into analytics-ready data foundations.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology by translating stakeholder needs into clear business requirements and precise technical specifications.
- Design, test, and implement agentic AI workflows and machine learning models to automate decision-making and generate proactive business insights.
- Develop and deploy user-friendly WebApps for business operations, data entry, and interaction with underlying data models.
- Use modern development tooling (VS Code) and AI coding assistants (e.g., Cline) with GitHub for version control of scripts, applications, and data models.
- Partner with data architects to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient data models that support analytical and transactional workloads.
- Document processes, code, data models, and system architectures; provide training and technical support for end-users as technologies are rolled out.
Requirements
- Python and advanced SQL expertise.
- Hands-on experience with the Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for data governance.
- Proven ability to build custom data products and rapidly prototype front ends using Streamlit or React.
- Strong familiarity with SAP (or similar ERP/manufacturing systems) as a primary source for complex supply chain and manufacturing data.
- Track record gathering complex requirements from non-technical stakeholders and turning them into actionable technical roadmaps.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in Agentic Modeling, LLMs, and integrating AI agents into workflows (e.g., Copilot Studio).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using Jira Cloud (sprint planning, story estimation, tracking) and Confluence for multi-system documentation.
- Comfort working in VS Code with AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development.
- Strong GitHub usage for version control, collaborative code reviews (PRs), and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex data challenges and technical solution delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders to execute priorities and drive change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear communication of technical concepts across global professional levels.
- Independent decision-making with a proactive approach to leading projects and delivering results.
Preferred domain knowledge
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical drug substance or drug product supply chain operations (e.g., process orders, batch genealogy, MRP/MPS planning, tech transfer, quality management, global distribution).
- Experience with SAP modules (MM/PP/QM/SD) or related manufacturing execution systems (MES/LIMS) is a strong plus.
Technologies
- Python, SQL, Databricks, Databricks Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog
- Dataverse, Agentic AI, Agentic Modeling, Large Language Models (LLMs), Copilot Studio
