Job Description
Application Developer - ETL on QVC's Enterprise Data Warehouse development team in West Chester, PA, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team and mentor junior engineers to foster growth and quality.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master to plan sprints and deliver artifacts.
- Partner with Principal Engineers and Architects to ensure solutions align with the enterprise strategy.
- Design, configure, code, and test programs of varying complexity within data engineering projects.
- Ensure implementations are scalable, performant, and secure.
- Proactively escalate delays, blockers, and progress to project managers and leads.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of software development experience with focus on data warehousing, ETL, and data quality.
- Proficiency with ETL processes and major RDBMS such as SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Oracle, Exadata, DB2, and Teradata.
- Experience with cloud data tools including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Data Lake (ADLS), PySpark, and Databricks Notebooks.
- Experience with Lambda architectures, real-time and batch processing.
- CI/CD pipeline experience using Azure DevOps and Git repositories.
- Agile practices (Scrum), Jira, Confluence, and standard source code management.
- Knowledge of Stonebranch and BI tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau.
- Experience with AI assisted development tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and Databricks Genie.
