Job Description

Greentec Auto is developing a custom ERP system in-house and needs an Android developer to design and build a companion Android application from the ground up. This role focuses on creating a production-ready app that works with rugged handheld scanners, connects to ERP REST API endpoints, and uses Microsoft Entra ID for authentication.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and build a new Android application to replace the existing proof of concept
  • Implement barcode scanning workflows for rugged handheld scanner hardware used on the shop floor
  • Integrate with ERP REST API endpoints for inventory lookups, transfers, receiving, and location management
  • Implement authentication using Microsoft Entra ID
  • Coordinate with the backend team as new API endpoints are introduced
  • Maintain and iterate on the app as new features are rolled out over time

What You Will Build

  • A companion Android app that runs on company-owned rugged handheld scanners
  • Workflows that allow staff to scan barcodes and manage inventory without returning to a computer
  • A fresh implementation to replace the current proof of concept with a properly built version

ERP API Endpoints You Will Integrate With

  • Looking up battery cores and pallets by serial number through barcode scanning
  • Creating and managing inventory transfers between locations
  • Logging and posting receiving events
  • Managing warehouse locations and sublocations, including bins

Project Overview

Greentec Auto is building a custom ERP system using Blazor Server and .NET with a SQL Server backend. The system tracks inventory, manages transfers between locations, and handles receiving. Permissions are managed through Microsoft Entra ID, and the platform is currently in development as the company digitizes more of its operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and shipping Android applications using Kotlin or Java
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and working with token-based authentication
  • Comfortable working independently with limited day-to-day oversight
  • Ability to write clean, well-structured code intended for long-term use, not a quick prototype
