Responsibilities
- Generate and simulate operational level plans to explore defense options for space systems
- Dynamically optimize terrestrial and space-based sensors to enhance space domain awareness
- Strategically optimize placement and maneuvering of satellite constellations to meet evolving priorities
Requirements
- Development experience with the Java programming language
- Experience with application containerization (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Containerd) in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift)
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment pipelines, automated builds, and configuration tools
- Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Experience with improving and scaling performance within a Java codebase
- Experience troubleshooting in a multi-service system
- Experience with concurrency in Java
- Development experience with Linux and shell scripting (e.g., bash, ash, ksh)
- Familiarity with the Space Domain
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong team relationships and deliver exceptional results
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin offers a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Schedules range from a standard 40-hour, five-day week to condensed options that provide additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time off benefits.
Schedule for This Position
9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Pay Rate
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For other states, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This salary information is a general guideline and may be influenced by location and other factors.
