Software Engineer

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and sustainment of information management software and services infrastructure for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. This is an onsite role in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, working in a Linux environment on mission-focused engineering efforts.

Role Summary

The Software Engineer will contribute to building and maintaining information management software and services infrastructure for HPC systems operating on Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and sustain information management software and services infrastructure for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience (may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree)
• Security clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, including Ansible, for orchestrating deployment
• Familiarity with SQL technologies, including PostgreSQL
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Familiar with containerization technologies including Docker, PodMan, and containerd
• Experience using the Git Source Control System
• U.S. Citizenship Required

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: USD 132,600 - 179,400 per year
• 401K: with company match

Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements, and could fall outside of the range.
