Systems Analyst/Developer
Job Description
This hands-on Systems Analyst and Developer role onsite in Hartford, WI supports manufacturing operations across multiple sites, designing, building, and maintaining internal software, integrations, and business systems with AI capabilities. It also serves as the day-to-day IT resource for the plant.
Responsibilities
- Plan and build internal software solutions, maintain databases, and manage system integrations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Assess business workflows and user needs to identify automation opportunities and improvements, then translate them into technical solutions.
- Create and sustain reports, dashboards, and SQL queries to support operational and management decisions.
- Oversee data import/export and integrations across business applications, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Support and enhance ERP/MRP and related systems such as quality and scheduling; assist with implementations and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications, databases, and integrations.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to embed AI into internal applications and business workflows.
- Develop and integrate AI driven features, including LLM API integrations, retrieval over company documents, and automation of repetitive tasks.
- Evaluate AI tools, platforms, and APIs for suitability, cost, and security, including Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and Anthropic Claude.
- Prototype and test AI assisted features, iterating before production deployment.
- Ensure responsible, secure use by controlling data leaving the network, managing access, and validating AI outputs to prevent unverified results from entering production or quality processes.
- Provide first-line support for desktops, printers, operating systems, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Set up, configure, and deploy computers and peripherals for on-site and remote staff; maintain hardware inventory and upgrade plans.
- Identify complex network or system issues and escalate to the Managed Service Provider as needed.
- Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, technical specifications, process flows, and internal knowledge bases.
- Collaborate with department managers and end users to capture requirements, propose solutions, and deliver user training.
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and execution for technology initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and hands-on experience will be considered.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, systems analysis, or a similar IT role.
- Proven experience delivering software end-to-end, not solely configuring or supporting it.
- Experience supporting manufacturing business systems is preferred; ERP/MRP exposure is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one of the following languages: C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript.
- Strong database and SQL query development skills; experience with system integrations, APIs, and data migration.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Windows, Microsoft 365, and hardware peripherals.
- Familiarity with reporting and BI tools and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Exposure to AI or LLM APIs and AI-assisted development is highly preferred; CompTIA A+ is a plus.
- Ability to translate business problems into working technical solutions; strong analytical and data accuracy skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Capacity to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay
From $70,000.00 per year
Physical Requirements
