Job Description

Join CrowdStrike and help build scalable, customer-facing machine learning capabilities for high-throughput, low-latency LLM inferencing and the supporting ecosystem. This role on the AIDR Engineering Team emphasizes strong engineering practices, autonomy, and the ability to translate research into production-grade solutions.

Location: Remote (remote)
Salary: USD 140,000 - 215,000 per yearly

What you’ll do

As a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, you will support fast-moving development and contribute in-depth analysis to strengthen model and system robustness. The work spans from custom model training to data engineering and implementation for customer applications at scale.

  • Innovate with state-of-the-art machine learning technology to accelerate data science.
  • Deliver pragmatic support for rapid R&D teams and implement high-quality solutions for customer-facing applications at scale.
  • Analyze systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or gaps.
  • Construct and maintain data pipelines, and contribute to training and implementing custom models.
  • Collaborate across teams to brainstorm, define, and devise solution approaches.
  • Emphasize top-tier coding quality through best practices, rigorous testing, and thorough logging and metrics.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.
  • Contribute to mentoring across technologies, while also learning from peers.
  • Explore improvements to product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and reliability.
  • Own work end to end with autonomy, including develop, test, deploy, and monitor.
  • Operate in an environment that values trust, with ongoing learning and self-improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • Prior experience in data engineering and architecture supporting advanced data science use cases.
  • A deep understanding of LLM post-training methods and computational architectures.
  • Understanding of scalability and distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
  • Team-first mindset and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Strong engineering best practices, including appropriate testing paradigms, resilient architecture, and effective peer code reviews.
  • Comfort working in a test-driven, collaborative, iterative programming environment.
  • Ability to meet time commitments while producing high-quality software through unit testing, code review, and regular check-ins for continuous integration.
  • Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

Tech stack you may work with (not mandatory to know everything)

A robust learning capacity is essential. Experience may include:

  • High-level coding languages such as Python (or JVM technologies)
  • Docker, Kubernetes
  • AWS, GCP, or MaaS
  • Kafka, Cassandra, Spark
  • ElasticSearch
  • Terraform, Chef, or Ansible
  • Experience scaling inference across GPUs or GPU clusters

Bonus points

  • Existing, demonstrable applied work in scalable architectures for LLM post-training or fine-tuning.
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
