Job Description
Contract Sr. Data Engineer opportunity in Plano, TX (onsite) supporting enterprise data systems and large-scale data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows for enterprise use cases
- Design robust data models and integrate both structured and unstructured data
- Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to maintain data availability and data quality
- Use cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to support large-scale data architecture
- Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data integrity issues
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and implementation
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms, including AWS Redshift and Azure Synapse (and similar)
- Hands-on background with ETL tools, data modeling, and data warehouse design
- Familiarity with data governance, version control, and CI/CD for data engineering workflows
- Solid understanding of Git, Agile methods, and Jira
