SQL Developer/Database Admin

Responsibilities

• Provide support to other TRG departments as directed
• Participate as a response member for immediate emergency response deployment as needed
• Be available for planned and unplanned exercises as directed
• Respond to and manage all TRG and client communications
• Develop proficiency in IAP Software and gain a basic understanding of other TRG products and services
• Develop and ensure accurate and professional deliverables for clients
• Acquire and maintain a basic understanding of TRG products and services
• Collect, clarify, and document business requirements
• Analyze data and design databases to store, process, and query data effectively
• Troubleshoot application issues and production errors, including high level critical issues requiring immediate attention
• Provide technical documentation as needed
• Maintain client confidence and protect confidentiality of information
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Serve under direction of the Vice President of Software Development and perform additional duties as required

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SQL database development using MS SQL Server, including writing stored procedures, functions, and complex queries
• 1+ years of experience developing reports with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
• Experience with common MS SQL Server database administration tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to acquire thorough knowledge of applications, systems and tools used at The Response Group
• Ability to work independently as well as in a small team with minimal supervision
• Adaptability to changes in application requirements

Qualifications

• Education: BS or BA Degree in Software Engineering or related field
