Job Description
Amazon's Media Experience team seeks a Software Engineer to help build and maintain asset management systems that store, manage, and render media assets for Amazon customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable asset management systems to support growing demand across Amazon properties.
- Collaborate with cross functional Amazonians to conceive, design, and deliver innovative products and services.
- Engage with technical stakeholders across teams to solve problems, align on architectural direction, and ensure systems operate at scale and speed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling) for new or existing systems.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tier, multi-threaded, distributed, or embedded software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of Object Oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.

It supports Amazon Retail websites, mobile apps, Alexa devices, Kindle, Prime Video, Fulfillment Center Systems, Amazon Lockers, and several subsidiary experiences like IMDb.
