In this role, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and support backend services that form distributed, event-driven microservices within the Notification Manager.

As a Software Engineer II, you will work across the full lifecycle of notification capabilities, partnering with engineering, QA, PMTs, TPMs, and product teams to deliver roadmap commitments from technical design through production.

  • Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests.
  • Build and evolve event-driven architectures using Kafka messaging and distributed processing patterns.
  • Support platform modernization efforts, including service decomposition, resiliency improvements, performance optimization, and cloud-native deployment practices.
  • Reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency across the platform.
  • Participate in production support, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Monitor system health using observability tools and metrics, and troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and data-related issues.
  • Support release activities and production readiness efforts.
  • Work closely with engineers, QA, PMTs, TPMs, and partner teams to deliver roadmap commitments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, elaboration sessions, estimation, and backlog refinement.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.
  • Own one or more Notification Manager services or technical domains, delivering stories and enhancements from design through deployment.
  • Improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability through ongoing engineering contributions.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and contribute to team engineering practices.
