Job Description
Truist Bank offers an onsite opportunity in Charlotte, NC for a hands-on Software Engineer focused on building and operating enterprise platform capabilities that enable standardized, secure, and scalable software delivery. This role emphasizes reusable platform services, automation, self-service developer experiences, and governance patterns, supporting a cohesive, enterprise-grade development environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software components and services to meet business and user requirements.
- Implement advanced features and enhancements following established coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional technical teams to plan and deliver technical initiatives on schedule.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects and production issues, performing root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design discussions through deployment and support.
- Apply secure coding practices, testing strategies, and documentation standards to ensure software quality and compliance with guidelines.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to foster technical growth and adherence to best practices.
- Utilize and contribute to existing frameworks, tools, and technologies to enhance application development across relevant technology domains.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.
- In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
