Software Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking a Software Engineer to serve as an AI trainer, focused on crafting coding challenges that train AI systems, delivering clear, well-documented code samples, and evaluating AI-generated code to drive model improvements. This is a contract, fully remote role based in Stockton, California, with flexible scheduling to fit project workloads and personal rhythm.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve a variety of programming problems used to train AI systems.
• Write concise, high-quality code snippets accompanied by thorough explanations.
• Assess AI-written code for correctness, performance, and readability.
• Provide actionable feedback that informs the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

• Fluent English communication, native or bilingual level.
• Proficiency in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Bachelor's degree, either completed or currently in progress.
• Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.
