Job Description

DataAnnotation is seeking a Software Engineer to serve as an AI trainer, focused on crafting coding challenges that train AI systems, delivering clear, well-documented code samples, and evaluating AI-generated code to drive model improvements. This is a contract, fully remote role based in Stockton, California, with flexible scheduling to fit project workloads and personal rhythm.

Responsibilities

Design and solve a variety of programming problems used to train AI systems.
Write concise, high-quality code snippets accompanied by thorough explanations.
Assess AI-written code for correctness, performance, and readability.
Provide actionable feedback that informs the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

Fluent English communication, native or bilingual level.
Proficiency in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
Excellent writing and grammar skills.
Bachelor's degree, either completed or currently in progress.
Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.
