Rivian is seeking a Software Engineer to help advance the future of electric vehicle charging through scalable, secure software. In this Palo Alto, CA (onsite) role, you will implement solutions that address important customer needs while partnering with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver reliable outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Write and implement software solutions designed to solve critical customer problems, with scalability, security, maintainability, and integration across many services
- Capture requirements and use cases to guide effective implementation
- Work as a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with effective communication
- Influence and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility
- Act as a self-starter, making independent decisions when needed
What you bring
- 1+ years of experience in software development
- Experience building microservices using container technologies and container management systems such as Kubernetes
- Experience with Nodejs and TypeScript/JavaScript software development
- Experience with database design across SQL and NoSQL, including analytics
- Experience building and deploying applications and services in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
