Software Engineer

Build and maintain large-scale applications and distributed systems that support data collection, processing, and delivery at significant volumes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test code for complex, large-scale client applications and/or distributed systems
• Own discrete engineering tasks end to end
• Address simpler technical challenges and implement timely fixes
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams, including work with customers at times, to help identify and resolve data quality issues
• Support ongoing research and evaluate new systems
• Complete discrete coding tasks within a single work stream
• Handle problems of limited scope, including bug fixes and minor feature changes
• Follow established coding standards
• Maintain existing systems and provide limited product support

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• 0-2 years systems development experience
• Proficient in computing languages
• Experience with HTTP protocols
• Understanding of database architecture
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Aptitude and desire to code
• Intellectual curiosity and creativity
• Solid business ethics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
