Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
Atlanta-based, onsite role for a Senior Software Engineer focused on leading architecture and delivery of high impact software solutions. You will work on scalable, secure, and highly available systems, guiding end-to-end technical design and implementation across large or complex initiatives. The position supports a culture of technical standards, knowledge sharing, and measurable improvements to quality, reliability, and delivery.
What you’ll do
- Implement software architecture and engineering approaches for complex initiatives within the job area, contributing to technical plans and supporting operational targets.
- Adopt and refine advanced engineering standards, practices, and governance mechanisms to influence how multiple teams improve delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product partners, and architecture teammates to shape domain technology approaches and propose solution patterns for local roadmaps.
- Lead end-to-end technical design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions, creating reusable patterns and examples.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, driving architecture, performance, reliability, and scalability improvements aligned to business objectives.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance, coaching, and training; delegate and review work from lower-level engineers; raise the technical bar through design reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and techniques, building prototypes and solution concepts that inform measurable input into new features and capabilities.
- Contribute to long-term technical goals and plans through well-reasoned recommendations, design proposals, and implementation experience.
- Lead large or complex initiatives, coordinating and delegating technical work that may extend beyond the immediate team to ensure cohesive, high-quality outcomes with limited supervision.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
- Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and security practices.
- English fluency (required).
