Software Engineer

An IDR, Inc. client in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Software Engineer to help support transaction-heavy, event-driven applications. This role emphasizes full-stack work across APIs, backend services, and frontend interfaces, operating in a hybrid setup with agile development practices.

You will join teams focused on modernization while maintaining and improving both legacy and newer systems. With experience ranging from 2 to 5 years, you’ll work across the stack and build deeper expertise through hands-on development, testing, and ongoing support.

What You’ll Do

• Support and enhance a suite of transaction-processing applications across APIs, backend services, and frontend interfaces.
• Design, develop, test, and support full-stack solutions using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with ongoing modernization efforts.
• Work in a hybrid environment with part in-office and part remote flexibility while participating in Agile development.
• Build technical and professional skills by gaining experience across legacy and modern systems.

What You Bring

• 2-5 years of experience developing and supporting web applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise software solutions.
• Working knowledge of .NET, C#, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server, with a desire to expand expertise through hands-on work.
• Agile development practices are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies, adapt to changing priorities, take ownership of assigned work, and continue growing technically and professionally.
