Job Description

Capgemini is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer for a Hybrid role based in Atlanta, supporting the delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications and modern user experiences. The position combines strong Java backend development with modern frontend engineering, along with integrations for event-driven systems and Generative AI/LLM APIs.

Role Overview

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable, high-quality solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver technology that supports business value and enhances client experiences, including APIs, microservices, and user interfaces built with React.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Build responsive, modern user interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and related web services.
  • Design cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Integrate Generative AI/LLM APIs (including OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini) into business solutions.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Develop Python-based components for automation, services, and data processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, application reliability, performance optimization, and code quality.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and API development.
  • Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI APIs and LLM integrations.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices.
