Job Description

This Software Engineer position provides Independent Verification and Validation support for CAST Lessons used on shipboard systems, based in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct IV&V analysis of operator training modules using government furnished equipment
  • Identify content discrepancies and relay findings to lesson originators and SCSTC for validation and revision
  • Participate in adjudication meetings to review CAST IV&V outcomes
  • Update operator lessons through the life cycle when issues are found
  • Coordinate and communicate with customers, management, and team members

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret Security Clearance
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of three years of combat system shipboard experience on an AEGIS platform, including CIC watchstanding
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and results
  • Solid organizational, task-tracking, and follow-up skills

Overview

SCCI is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Center in performing IV&V of CAST Lessons for use aboard shipboard systems. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA and onsite in King George, VA.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Three years of experience using multi-threat, multi-warfare force scenario simulations
