Software Developer

The Software Developer will create and maintain custom applications and system integrations that connect the organization’s ERP platform with other business-critical tools. This role focuses on translating business requirements into dependable software solutions using GraphQL/REST and Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom applications and system integrations that connect the organization’s ERP platform with other business-critical tools and applications.
• Translate defined business requirements into reliable, well-tested software solutions that improve data flow, automate processes, and provide internal teams with tools to operate efficiently.
• Partner with the Information Systems team to design, develop, enhance, and maintain integrations between the company’s ERP platform and other business systems, primarily using GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Support the development and enhancement of internally built applications using C#/.NET, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Ensure solutions adhere to established development standards and complete appropriate testing prior to deployment, including behavior-driven testing scenarios where applicable.
• Develop a strong working understanding of the organization’s ERP data structures, APIs, integrations, and business processes to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to understand business processes, identify technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and translate operational needs into effective software and integration solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience in a business environment.
• Experience building applications using C#/.NET and JavaScript, including jQuery.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including writing, modifying, and troubleshooting queries and stored procedures.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, or the ability and interest to learn GraphQL quickly.
• Experience developing system integrations and exchanging data between applications.
• Experience using Git or another source-control platform.
• Experience with reporting technologies such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI Report Server, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with behavior-driven development and Gherkin syntax, or willingness to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical solutions and processes.
• Ability to independently research, learn, and apply new technologies.
• Comfort working directly with business stakeholders to understand operational workflows and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing GraphQL APIs.
• Experience working with an ERP or other enterprise business application.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, supply-chain, or similar operational environments.
• Experience developing within Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience integrating ERP platforms with internal or third-party business applications.
