Job Description
The ServiceNow Administrator/Developer at Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community supports day-to-day platform operations and delivers technical solutions inside the ServiceNow environment. This hybrid role focuses on maintaining stability, reliability, and compliance while enhancing the platform with automations and low- to medium-complexity development. This job class is treated as FLSA Exempt.
Role Summary
- Operate and maintain the ServiceNow platform and supported applications.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and build enhancements aligned with platform best practices.
- Develop and test configurations and integrations, then coordinate deployments across Development, Test, and Production.
- Support security, data governance, documentation, and knowledge transfer for long-term maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and process owners to document technical requirements for ServiceNow applications, enhancements, and integrations.
- Design and develop scalable solutions using ServiceNow capabilities, including custom applications and scripting such as Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
- Build automations with Flow Designer and create integrations using REST/SOAP and Integration Hub.
- Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow development standards and remain maintainable and upgrade safe.
- Evaluate ServiceNow features, plugins, and capabilities to determine best-fit approaches aligned to organizational standards.
- Develop and maintain data integration and migration processes using Import Sets, Transform Maps, Integration Hub, and APIs, with attention to data governance standards and platform controls.
- Develop and execute test cases for functional, technical, and regression testing prior to deployment.
- Support releases using update sets, participate in change management and release planning, and coordinate environment deployments.
- Create technical documentation, code documentation, and knowledge transfer materials for smooth transition into operational support.
- Manage users, groups, roles, and access control.
- Maintain the ServiceNow instance through upgrades, patches, and health monitoring.
- Configure workflows, UI policies, business rules, catalog items, and forms.
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide higher-level fixes to developers as needed.
- Maintain CMDB data quality and discovery schedules (if applicable).
- Support integrations at a configuration level, including MID server and connection testing.
- Support module deployments including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, and related areas.
- Follow SDLC best practices, including Git, ATF, and pipeline workflows.
- Monitor production incidents and ensure resolution aligns with established service level agreements.
- Ensure service requests and implementations meet departmental standards and agreed service levels.
- Plan end-user training for COTS application systems and support training that may include vendor contracts or course-based instruction.
- Support cybersecurity penetration testing remediation and yearly application account audit processes.
- Perform peer reviews of Application Analyst work products and provide guidance to Application Systems Analyst Level I.
- Serve as Project Manager on operational projects, including maintaining project schedules and coordinating with technical divisions.
- Fulfill Design/Configuration, Testing, Release, and User Education roles on PMO-managed projects.
- Review and manage software support to ensure systems remain covered by adequate vendor support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Application Systems Manager, Assistant IT Director (Application Systems), or IT Director.

Minimum Qualifications
- Five (5) years experience providing technical leadership in the third-party off-the-shelf software selection, implementation and support.
- Five (5) years demonstrated expertise performing ServiceNow Administrator and/or Development; Application Support.
- Three (3) years demonstrated expertise performing Project Management; Business Process Analysis; creating ServiceNow Dashboards and Reports; Training.
- Equivalency: any equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification with the most recent Delta completed (if applicable).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification with the most recent Delta completed (if applicable).
- May be required to work beyond normal hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
- May be required to receive and maintain a Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Community Regulatory License and State Certification (ADOG).

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills and Other Characteristics
- Knowledge of SRPMIC history, culture, laws, customs, and traditions.
- Knowledge of project management and software methodologies, and assessing current-state business workflows.
- Knowledge of COTS application systems to meet user expectations.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform administration including core modules like ITSM, CMDB, and Service Catalog, plus user/group management, roles, forms, lists, UI policies, business rules, and client scripts.
- Skills in ServiceNow security and access control, including ACLs and troubleshooting with security diagnostics.
- Skills in managing CMDB and data imports, transform maps, and environment promotions.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with web technologies such as HTML and CSS, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Ability to configure Flow Designer automations, scripted processes, and SLA definitions, and to document solutions while following SDLC best practices (Git, ATF, pipelines).
- Ability to interact with end users in one-to-one and classroom environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and keep current on new technologies.
Location and Compensation
- Location: Scottsdale, AZ (hybrid)
- Salary: USD 106 - 148 per yearly
