Senior Staff Software Engineer, Agentic AI Harness & Quality

Join ServiceNow’s Agentic AI Harness & Quality team in Mountain View, CA (onsite) and help advance AI agent capabilities that perform reliably at scale. You’ll work across the Moveworks AI Assistant platform, supporting orchestration, execution, optimization, memory, self-reflection, simulation, knowledge graphs, and multimodal I/O, while building production systems and evolving frontier AI approaches that improve the way enterprise users interact with AI.

What you’ll build and improve

• Work on challenging engineering problems across agent reliability and performance, helping develop capable AI agent systems that are reliable in every sense
• Implement frontier AI algorithms and architectures, then help productionize them at scale
• Apply the latest advances in machine learning, LLMs, and AI agents to strengthen products and create user experiences
• Contribute to the roadmap by driving engineering areas of growing scope and impact, creating lasting value for customers
• Write robust, extensible, readable, and performant code to support production-grade delivery

How you’ll collaborate

You’ll partner with subject matter experts across ServiceNow, including machine learning, security, product, user experience, and customer success. The work is designed to support cross-functional learning while building an enterprise AI product.

• Mentor other engineers on the team in how to build, maintain, and evolve great software
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to learn from each other and build world-class AI systems

What you bring

• 10+ years of experience designing, building, and improving production systems, ideally at scale
• Ability to think and communicate clearly about complex engineering problems and systems
• Comfort giving and receiving feedback, along with accountability to operational excellence
• Readiness to hit the ground running on a Mac development environment, using Python, Golang, and/or Java
• Desire to ship at a startup pace with strong ownership
• Attention to detail and a strong drive to ship product improvements with production-grade code
• High curiosity about engineering beyond your immediate discipline, with an ongoing desire to learn and stay at the cutting edge of applied AI
