Senior Software Engineer - Platforms

Versant Media builds media and entertainment experiences for trusted brands that help shape culture, inform audiences, and connect with people. This onsite role in New York, NY focuses on designing and delivering scalable, secure, user-centric software for next-generation platforms, with a practical emphasis on microservices, modern front-end development, and getting value to users using SaaS and low-code/no-code where it fits.

What you’ll do

• Partner with cross-functional teams from ideation to launch to deliver full-stack solutions that solve real business problems.
• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant microservices and modern front-end applications.
• Use SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms when appropriate to accelerate delivery.
• Improve team quality through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Ensure solutions prioritize security, performance, and maintainability.
• Work with product and architecture teams to align on technical direction and business priorities.

What you bring

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Backend development experience with Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure, plus experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation and logistics

• Location: New York, NY (onsite)
• Salary range: USD 110,000 - 160,000 per year
