Senior Software Engineer

SRI Resources is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a fintech team building and supporting a high-availability payments-as-a-service platform. The role supports internal and external clients, with a collaborative environment across engineering, QA, and business partners. You can work hybrid in Columbus, OH or Portland, OR, with 4 days per week on-site and Fridays remote.

What you’ll do

This position focuses on expanding and strengthening the engineering team to meet client and business demands. You’ll build capabilities that support a global, high-availability, multi-tier platform, while helping clients integrate with core services.

• Work with a talented engineering group to deliver solutions for internal and external clients
• Collaborate closely with peer developers, QA testers, and business partners to deliver high-quality results on schedule
• Build and support the full software development life cycle for a high-availability multi-tier platform accessed globally
• Participate in production platform support
• Contribute to peer code reviews
• Proactively identify and fix issues to improve scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and fraud monitoring
• Respond to urgent bugs in a timely manner alongside other engineers
• Help reinforce good software engineering practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 7+ years of strong Object-Oriented Development experience
• 3+ years of strong MySQL experience (designing and administering)
• 4+ years of NodeJS experience
• 4+ years of ReactJS experience
• 4+ years of TypeScript experience
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience
• Strong understanding of Amazon API Gateway and Lambda
• Solid experience building API frameworks (RESTful or GraphQL)
• Ability to work in a small, dynamic programming team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
• May require up to 25% travel

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation System (Azure DevOps)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with Amazon QuickSight
• Experience with NoSQL DynamoDB
