You will work alongside domain specialists, including geophysicists and field engineers, to design software for acquisition systems, QC pipelines, and reliable operational performance across vessel operations and downstream data delivery. The role also includes shaping infrastructure decisions that connect server, networking, and embedded or real-time system integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software systems supporting seismic data acquisition, QC pipelines, and data delivery workflows
  • Assist with the development of strategic plans and technical roadmaps
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and staying within budget
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions
  • Review and debug code, and perform validation and verification testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including geophysicists, field engineers, and infrastructure specialists
  • Contribute to infrastructure decisions involving server, networking, and embedded or real-time system integrations
  • Mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical standards and best practices
  • Follow company policies and HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) standards

C/C++, Python, Linux, PostgreSQL, Docker, OPC UA, MQTT

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marine seismic acquisition experience, including direct familiarity with streamer or OBN systems
  • Offshore field experience aboard seismic vessels or equivalent industrial or remote operational environments
  • Familiarity with time-series data, QC workflows, or geophysical data formats such as SEG-Y
  • Experience with Linux server administration and containerization (Docker, VM platforms)
  • Exposure to industrial protocols including OPC UA, MQTT, or similar

Key Competencies

  • Managing & Planning: independently plan, coordinate, and assign tasks while reporting progress
  • Complexity: analyze and diagnose technical issues to deliver sound solutions and advice
  • Innovation: optimize existing technology, recommend solutions, and drive changes to procedures and methods
