Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality software design, tools, and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks across the software development lifecycle.
• Automate tasks using appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review and debug code to ensure reliability and performance.
• Perform validation and verification testing including unit and integration tests.
• Document development phases and monitor systems to maintain clarity and traceability.
• Ensure software remains updated and supported throughout its lifecycle.
• Communicate and collaborate openly across teams, vendors, and portfolios.
• Coach and mentor peers and junior engineers to raise technical capability.
• May serve as a technical lead on a medium complexity or risk project or a production support team.
• May participate in proof of concept execution under the leadership of a technology architect or principal engineer.
• Assist in leading a core team to successful outcomes by leveraging overall technology and core integration knowledge.
• Provide the enterprise technology office with signoffs for PEGT and CAB through a streamlined process to ensure high quality work delivery.
• Join the performance testing team with an IT enterprise core integration focus.
• Support initiatives such as Billing V3, customer service new applications, and data team efforts, including AWS migrations and multi platform work.

Requirements

• LoadRunner Enterprise or similar load testing tool knowledge and exposure.
• Experience validating application interactions and dependencies across areas within a single environment.
• Participation or process ownership in a quality review function such as PEGT or CAB.
• Gathering and defining performance test requirements.
• Integrated requirements management practices, with Jira, Gitlab, and ServiceNow experience a bonus.
