Job Description
IvoryCloud is hiring a Senior .NET Developer to deliver new feature development for a high-visibility federal mission system in a build-forward role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, unit test, and complete peer review for new features that expand mission capabilities from concept through production release.
- Set the technical direction for new functionality, enhancements, and change requests, including accurate effort estimation.
- Use AI tools to accelerate solutioning, including design exploration, prototyping, code generation, test scaffolding, documentation, and troubleshooting (you will use AI tools; you will not build AI/ML models).
- Build scalable, secure web applications using ASP.NET, C#, SQL, and Angular.
- Work with Business Analysts and QA to interpret requirements and deliver against them.
- Collaborate with the development team and federal technical stakeholders to plan and execute feature delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and apply secure, defensive coding practices throughout development.
- Keep current on tools and techniques, including AI-assisted development, to improve delivery speed and quality.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required and non-negotiable.
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days a week in the Rockville, MD office required and non-negotiable.
- Active Public Trust required.
- Ability to pass multiple background and employment checks (federal and local).
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or Related Field.
- 8+ years professional ASP.NET / C# back-end development with SQL databases.
- 8+ years professional Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript front-end development.
- Experience with .NET Core / modern .NET (8+).
- Proven delivery experience for new functionality in complex, workflow-driven enterprise systems.
- Hands-on use of AI code assistants in day-to-day work (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, TabNine).
- Ability to apply AI tools effectively across design, prototyping, coding, testing, and documentation.
- Sound judgment on where AI accelerates work versus where human review and secure-coding discipline must govern output.
Technologies
- ASP.NET, C#, SQL, Azure (App Services, Functions, Key Vault), Databricks
- Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
- .NET Core, modern .NET (8+), T-SQL, EF, LINQ

- Logging, error handling
- AI tools: GitHub Copilot, Claude, TabNine
- Certifications/roles referenced: Azure AI-102, Azure Architect
AI Solutioning Skills (Required)
- Work AI-fluently to deliver better and faster outcomes.
- Focus areas include design exploration, prototyping, code generation, test scaffolding, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Role expectations are about using AI tools, not engineering AI/ML systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering on federal programs and working with government technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Azure (App Services, Functions, Key Vault) and cloud-native delivery.
- Familiarity with Databricks.
- Experience designing and building AI agents that use LLMs to plan, make decisions, call tools, and complete multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention.
- Strong grounding in OOP, SOLID, RESTful APIs, microservices, Git, and CI/CD.
- Secure coding fluency: input validation (SQL injection, XSS), RBAC, MFA, OAuth/JWT, logging, and error handling.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AI-102, Azure Architect) are a plus.
