Job Description

PrimeWest Health is looking for a Senior Health Care Integration Analyst/Developer to help build reliable, standards-based connections that move clinical, payer, and administrative data where it needs to go. This onsite role in Alexandria, MN focuses on designing and implementing data exchange and interoperability solutions, guiding partner integrations, and strengthening secure, maintainable technical systems.

Why this role

You will take on technical leadership for high-profile partner integrations while collaborating closely with the Director of Business IT & Claims Administration and PrimeWest Health staff. The work supports healthcare interoperability goals using widely adopted standards and modern integration practices, helping ensure seamless data exchange across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Business IT & Claims Administration and PrimeWest Health staff with EDI development and support as needed
  • Assist with FHIR and healthcare interoperability as needed
  • Support CMS interoperability and service authorization readiness as needed
  • Provide technical leadership and operational support for integration needs
  • Lead the design and implementation of data exchange and interoperability solutions
  • Act as a trusted technical leader to guide partner integrations
  • Architect secure and maintainable solutions
  • Ensure seamless exchange of clinical, payer, and administrative data

Requirements

  • Expertise in healthcare data exchange standards, including HIPAA X12, HL7, FHIR, APIs, and EDI
  • Experience with integration development, ETL, data validation, production support, and secure data transfer
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability, CMS requirements, security, privacy, and data governance
  • Proficiency with SQL, relational databases, and programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, C#, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, QA, and release management practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and leverage approved AI tools to improve efficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • Experience with SQL, reporting, automation, and data analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively
  • Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods

Compensation & benefits

$85,000 - $125,000 per year. PrimeWest Health offers medical insurance, vision materials coverage, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and a PERA pension plan. Additional time off includes 13 paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and Paid Volunteer Time. The role also includes access to an on-site fitness room.
