Senior Flutter Developer (Dart)

The Senior Flutter Developer will lead Flutter and Dart work across Windows desktop, mobile, and web interfaces, with API integrations. This hands-on role involves maintaining and extending the existing codebase and UI, and collaborating with QA and external partners. The position is hybrid in Addison, IL, with an annual salary range of USD 110,000 to 125,000.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Flutter and Dart applications across Windows desktop, mobile (iOS and Android), and web platforms.
• Onboard into an existing Flutter codebase and extend it to boost reliability, usability, and performance ahead of release.
• Design and implement polished, intuitive UI flows optimized for touchscreen kiosk environments.
• Integrate Flutter applications with internal and external APIs, covering networking, data handling, and hardware workflow services.
• Diagnose and debug issues with a practical, test-driven mindset, focusing on real-device scenarios and edge cases.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and, when needed, coordinate with external development partners.
• Partner with QA to validate functionality and ensure releases meet quality expectations.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support maintainability and team continuity.

Requirements

• Extensive production experience with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience building and supporting customer-facing applications with emphasis on stability, performance, and clean architecture.
• Ability to quickly ramp into an existing project and deliver results promptly.
• Strong understanding of API-based development (REST or similar), asynchronous programming, and debugging.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work from the Addison office several days per week, primarily for hardware workflow testing.
