Job Description

SCA Health is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to design and deliver scalable, resilient, high-quality enterprise software solutions in a remote setup. In this role, you will help shape architecture-aligned implementations, create reusable building blocks for complex business needs, and mentor other developers as the team evolves its technology and delivery approach.

What you’ll do

  • Design and develop enterprise software solutions that are scalable, resilient, and high quality.
  • Partner with business analysts, project managers, and business customers to clarify and understand the problem being solved.
  • Create re-usable components and frameworks to address complex business requirements.
  • Perform code reviews and help ensure solutions follow pre-defined architectural specifications and coding best practices.
  • Ensure delivery includes rich user experiences that meet user needs.
  • Mentor junior developers by providing direction, acting as an escalation point for questions and issues, and supporting growth.
  • Drive the future technology, architecture, and methodologies used by the team.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Codex to accelerate coding, improve quality, and reduce repetitive work.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Mentor junior developers on responsible and effective use of AI-assisted development tools.
  • Build influence beyond IT to better understand real-world customer problems and propose practical solutions.
  • Develop reusable patterns and services, applying strong architecture skills to build robust, supportable business solutions.
  • Participate in Architecture/Technical design sessions and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Decompose Epics into Features, Features into User Stories, and User Stories into Tasks.
  • Monitor, debug, and refactor code to improve performance.
  • Read existing application code to develop system architecture and documentation for current systems.
  • Maintain documentation throughout the SDLC and conduct technical analysis to identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technology field.
  • 10 to 12 years of technical experience designing and developing large enterprise solutions using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework, micro services architecture, and domain driven design.
  • 5+ years designing and developing web solutions using Angular, React, Kendo, and NgRx State management.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering concepts and the ability to validate, refine, and optimize AI-generated code.
  • Experience integrating AI-driven testing, code analysis, or refactoring tools into development workflows.
  • Experience building and deploying solutions in Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to DevOps is considered a plus.
  • Strong sense of initiative and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships within the team and across other IT groups, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to research new technologies and initiatives, determine best architectural approaches, and act proactively and decisively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with Executive audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues in terms that nontechnical audiences can understand.
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently and stay broadly focused.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including staff, business stakeholders, and leadership up to the CEO.

Compensation and benefits

$120,000 - $135,000 per year. Benefits include medical coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, a 401k plan with company match, paid time off, and life and disability insurance.
