Python Developer

Atlas Technologies Inc is seeking a Python Developer to support a Navy customer building and maintaining Linux-based software and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Build and work with container technologies including Docker and Podman
• Instantiate and administer Red Hat virtual machines using KVM
• Automate operational tasks with Bash and Ansible
• Develop applications using Python
• Research and resolve software bugs across the environment
• Maintain code in software repositories using Git
• Run testbed demos and proofs of concept for leadership
• Support subject matter experts with software engineering change request (ECR) requirements and software documentation

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Ability to maintain a DoD IAT II certification
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions
• Experience creating Linux Bash scripts
• Experience programming in Python
• Familiarity with layer 2 & 3 switch and router technologies
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills to communicate across users, engineers, managers, and organizations
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
• Self-motivated work ethic with a commitment to quality
• Interest in learning and working in the IT industry

Location, Salary, and Schedule

• Location: North Charleston, SC (hybrid)
• Compensation: USD 100,000 - 120,000 per year
• Telework: up to 2 days per week
• Note: Atlas reserves the right to adjust schedule to meet customer needs

Education

• BS Degree in a relevant technical field or a combination of education and experience
