Product Application Developer
Job Description
DatabaseUSA seeks a Product Application Developer to own and build Java-based front-end web applications that surface data assets and deliver high-performance BI experiences, onsite in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities
- Own the Product Layer: Lead the design and development of responsive, high-performance web applications built on Java frameworks that surface data assets for enterprise customers.
- Drive Features End-to-End: Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to translate requirements into production-ready UI features, guiding work from wireframes through development and deployment.
- Shape the Roadmap: Actively participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives, contributing both technical and product perspectives to refine priorities and scope.
- Craft the User Experience: Build reusable, accessible UI components using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) that connect with Java back-end services and support a consistent enterprise look and behavior.
- API Integration: Design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs that connect front-end interfaces to data pipelines and microservices, ensuring robust data flow and reliable integration.
- Optimize Performance: Improve application performance, optimize load times, rendering, and API response handling to deliver smooth experiences across devices and screen sizes.
Requirements
- Front-end development experience with Java applications
- Experience designing and building Java-based web applications
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs
- Ability to integrate front-end interfaces with Java back-end services
- Strong collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and data engineers
