Job Description

The Power BI Developer role at Omniforce Solutions focuses on turning raw business data into interactive dashboards, reports, and insights that guide decision making across the organization. This onsite position reports to the IT Director and is based in Humble, Texas.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the IT Director, the Power BI Developer is responsible for transforming raw business data into interactive dashboards, reports, and insights that support decision making across the organization. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the mission in a fast paced environment while working onsite in Humble, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into practical BI solutions
  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Build and maintain data models, including star schemas and semantic layers
  • Integrate multiple data sources such as ERP, CRM, APIs, and databases
  • Apply DAX and Power Query for calculations and data transformation
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security, including row level security and access controls
  • Optimize performance of reports and datasets
  • Collaborate with IT, business leaders, and analysts
  • Document solutions and provide user training and support
  • Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and reporting platforms
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Experience with BI tools, with Power BI preferred
  • Power BI (Desktop and Service)
  • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
  • Power Query (M language)
  • SQL and data querying
  • Data modeling and warehousing concepts
  • Integration experience with ERP systems (eg, Epicor), CRM systems (eg, Salesforce), SharePoint, and cloud data sources
  • Understanding of APIs and data pipelines
  • Microsoft certifications (nice to have): Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non technical audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a drive for automation and simplification
  • Business acumen across KPIs, operations, and finance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
