Job Description

Insignia Federal Group is seeking a Mid-Level Drupal Developer to support a federal government client from our Washington, DC office. The role centers on crafting custom PHP code and refining Drupal modules within a secure DevSecOps CI/CD workflow, while collaborating with design teams to realize user interfaces that meet strict requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom PHP code and adjust Drupal CMS modules to support a government client.
  • Partner with designers to implement UI and UX concepts.
  • Operate within a complex, secure DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline.
  • Analyze site issues and performance, providing troubleshooting as needed.
  • Coordinate and deliver multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, merging code with peers.
  • Follow established development guidelines and timelines; communicate challenges and progress proactively.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and DevOps tools.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or two+ years of experience with web-based applications and design without a four-year degree.
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; able to follow directions.
  • Project-focused mindset with problem-solving ability and a demonstrated capacity to learn.

Successful Candidate

  • Web and software development experience
  • 4+ years in web and software development
  • 2+ years hands-on Drupal CMS and PHP experience
  • UI/UX experience and ability to work with designers to implement interfaces
  • MySQL/SQL experience
  • Experience with source control and Git workflows (GitLab, GitHub)
  • Ability to write and comprehend code specifications
  • Understanding of Drupal theming and Twig templating; ability to create Twig templates, CSS, and assets
  • Familiarity with Drupal 9/10/11, content types, and views
  • Knowledge of contributed modules and basic site-building
  • Willingness to learn Drupal API and best practices
  • Awareness of Drupal security updates and patching
  • Desire to learn DevOps tools and workflows
  • Basic web security understanding
  • Willingness to learn access control and authentication concepts
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot fundamental site issues

Pay

$95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
