Magento Software Engineer
Job Description
AVB seeks a Magento Software Engineer to design, build, test, troubleshoot, and deploy web applications that support AVB Marketing clients' ecommerce presence.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end development including design, coding, testing, and bug fixing.
- Diagnose code issues and implement effective fixes.
- Collaborate with development and design teams to deliver functional, user-friendly applications.
- Partner with DevOps and IT to define deployment procedures and own rollout success.
- Write clean, maintainable code for web applications or update existing codebases.
- Develop solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in PHP development.
- Deep expertise in PHP and Magento platforms.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, 53, and RDS.
- Familiarity with MVC architecture and RESTful API development.
- Experience configuring optimized web server setups and scaling AWS-based applications.
- Ability to implement secure coding practices for PHP applications.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in AWS cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (Computer Science or related field).
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on PHP development experience.
- Experience with MySQL Server and SQL.
- Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, 53, and RDS.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- AWS certifications are a significant asset.

Remote Work and Travel
- Role is remote from a home address, subject to AVB's remote work policies.
- Occasional travel may be required for the Annual All-Employee Meeting and other events or meetings representing AVB.
