Job Description

WGA Consulting, LLC is seeking a Lead Microsoft Copilot Studio Developer for a temporary, project-based engagement. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying enterprise AI agents across the Microsoft ecosystem, with Snowflake as the enterprise data layer.

Engagement Overview

  • Position type: Temporary project-based engagement; corp-to-corp (C2C) only
  • Duration: Approximately 12 weeks (3 months), with potential for extension based on performance and client pipeline
  • Work location: 100% remote, with 2 weeks onsite in Asia-Pacific for user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Hourly rate: $70 - $75 per hour
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain international travel visas as required

Role Summary

The Lead Microsoft Copilot Studio Developer will deliver production-grade enterprise AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, integrating multi-agent orchestration and MCP server functionality. The engagement includes building secure agent access to Snowflake and other enterprise sources, implementing retrieval and evaluation capabilities, and supporting UAT with client stakeholders in Asia-Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy enterprise AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, including generative orchestration, topics, actions, knowledge sources, and autonomous triggers
  • Extend agent capabilities through Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry), Foundry Agent Service, the Microsoft Agent Framework, and Azure OpenAI where pro-code patterns are required
  • Build custom connectors, Power Automate agent flows, and Azure Functions to support agent actions and business process execution
  • Configure agent authentication and security, including Entra ID identity, environment security, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and role-based access controls
  • Design and implement agent-to-agent (A2A) architectures, including orchestrator and specialist agent patterns, delegation, handoffs, and shared context management
  • Build connected-agent and multi-agent solutions across Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry, with defined boundaries for each agent’s role, tools, and data access
  • Define exception handling, escalation paths, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and failure recovery across multi-agent workflows
  • Build and configure MCP servers to provide agents governed read and write access to Snowflake, Dataverse, and other enterprise data sources
  • Implement secure read/write patterns into Snowflake, including query generation, parameterized access, transaction boundaries, write-back validation, and audit logging
  • Apply Snowflake Cortex capabilities (Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Agents) to strengthen agent reasoning over enterprise data
  • Collaborate with client data teams on schemas, semantic models, role-based access, and performance considerations for agent workloads
  • Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines across structured and unstructured enterprise content
  • Implement enterprise search and vector search using Azure AI Search, Snowflake Cortex Search, and SharePoint and Microsoft Graph knowledge sources
  • Optimize retrieval quality through chunking strategies, hybrid search, semantic ranking, metadata filtering, and grounding techniques
  • Develop natural language to SQL capabilities so agents can answer questions over enterprise databases accurately and safely
  • Create evaluation harnesses and test suites for agent accuracy, grounding, tool use, multi-agent handoffs, and adversarial inputs
  • Manage the agent lifecycle across Dev, Test, and Production using Power Platform pipelines, solution packaging, and CI/CD practices
  • Instrument agents with telemetry, usage analytics, and monitoring to support post-deployment optimization
  • Lead onsite UAT with client stakeholders in Asia-Pacific, including defect triage, rapid remediation, and go-live readiness
  • Support pilot deployment and knowledge transfer to client technical teams

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
  • Degree focus: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related technical field
  • Certification: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or its successor (AB-400)
  • Experience: 4–7 years of professional software development, data engineering, or enterprise integration experience
  • Minimum AI agent experience: At least 2 years building production AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and/or Microsoft Foundry
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI agents with Snowflake, including read and write access patterns
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying MCP servers in an enterprise environment
  • Deep working knowledge of Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Dataverse, and custom connectors
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Foundry, the Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, and Azure AI Search
  • Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Snowflake architecture, security, and Cortex AI capabilities
  • Strong understanding of RAG, vector search, hybrid retrieval, embeddings, and grounding techniques
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, or TypeScript for pro-code agent extensions
  • Familiarity with MCP, A2A protocol concepts, REST/OData APIs, and OAuth-based enterprise integration
