Job Description

Based in Stamford, CT on site, this Lead Data Engineer role centers on Databricks, directing the design, construction, and delivery of modern data and analytics solutions for clients, while leading delivery teams and advising stakeholders. Compensation ranges from USD 134,500 to 265,100 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the design and deployment of Databricks based data and analytics solutions for client engagements.
  • Oversee project teams and workstreams across requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable data pipelines, data models, and platform capabilities.
  • Advise client stakeholders on architecture, implementation approaches, and operating model considerations for modern data platforms.
  • Monitor solution quality, resolve issues, and track delivery progress while supporting project economics and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of experience delivering data engineering, analytics, or cloud data platform solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
  • 3+ years of experience with Python and SQL
  • 2+ years of experience leading project teams or workstreams
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%, depending on client work
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
