Job Description

Thomas Edwards Group Inc. is hiring a Lead D365 F&O Developer to provide hands-on technical leadership for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) development and integrations. Based in Dallas, TX on-site, this role blends solution design, engineering standards, and active mentoring to help deliver scalable ERP capabilities.

This position focuses on translating business needs into technical delivery, defining and reviewing design artifacts, and supporting complex application and data integration patterns across the Microsoft ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and code reviews for D365 F&O solutions using X++.
  • Convert business and functional requirements into technical solutions and Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
  • Review Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for technical feasibility and architectural alignment.
  • Establish coding standards, development best practices, and quality controls.
  • Design and support integrations using OData, data entities, REST, DMF, and batch or real-time integration patterns.
  • Support SQL-based data integration and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI.
  • Support integrations with Power Platform, Dataverse, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, data, and integration issues.
  • Lead and mentor developers, assign work, support performance management, and contribute to hiring and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with ERP, functional, infrastructure, and business teams during planning, development, and release activities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of D365 F&O or Dynamics AX development experience with strong X++ skills.
  • Strong understanding of D365 F&O architecture, extensibility, and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  • Experience with SQL, OData, data entities, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience creating TDDs and reviewing FDDs.
  • Prior technical leadership and/or developer mentoring experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric/Synapse, Power Platform, Power BI, and Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are a plus.

Salary: USD 140,000 per year. This is an on-site role in Dallas, TX.
