Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a Labware Developer for an onsite contract role in Albany, NY. The position focuses on configuring and tailoring LabWare LIMS, building automation through scripts, integrating instruments, and troubleshooting issues in support of a GxP-compliant laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and document laboratory and stakeholder requirements to guide system configuration.
  • Configure LabWare LIMS and deliver technical support to internal teams, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Create and configure Master Data, including Products, Projects, Analysis, Calculations, Automation Scripts, and elements such as the Message Engine.
  • Integrate laboratory instruments with LabWare LIMS to support reliable data flow and automation.
  • Build and support reporting using Crystal Reports, including report creation with Query Tags and Access Routines.
  • Perform entry and edits of relevant static data within the system.
  • Serve as a liaison between laboratory users and the vendor to address system issues and evolving user requirements.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and automation scripts to implement or enhance system functionality.
  • Work with Agile teams to deliver new features and improvements.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and support system operations to maintain stable performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrating LabWare with other systems and workflows.
  • Support data migration and integration activities to ensure integrity and consistency.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize configurations to improve efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-8 years of experience in LabWare LIMS/ELN/LES implementations.
  • Proficiency in LIMS Basic scripting and the MethEX Module.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, version control, and validation protocols.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in GxP environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good knowledge of LIMS Basic, including format calculations and analysis component calculations (variables properties and basic algorithm writing).
  • Good knowledge of LabWare lot management and sample life cycle.
