LabVIEW Developer

United Premier is seeking a LabVIEW Developer for a contract role in El Segundo, CA (on-site). In this position, you will build and troubleshoot LabVIEW-based automation that supports testing across multiple lab instruments and test stations.

Day to day, the work focuses on developing modular LabVIEW software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand, integrating with measurement equipment, and supporting validation-oriented activities for the testing platforms in use today.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug LabVIEW code to support automated test workflows.
• Create LabVIEW software that interfaces with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Use the LabVIEW and TestStand platform to build software in a modular and organized way to support efficient test automation across test stations.
• Test electronic board input and output signals using a signal generator and oscilloscope.
• Support issue resolution for current test automation platforms, including functional verification, assessing validation needs, writing functional specifications, planning validation, and reporting validation results.
• Collaborate with testing equipment and clients to produce user-friendly software solutions.
• Take on engineering tasks that support skill growth and contribute to software performance improvements.
• Design software architecture and optimize application performance.
• Nice to have: experience with FPGA embedded systems and real-time processors.
• Nice to have: data acquisition and manipulation using DAQ hardware.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of LabVIEW programming experience.
• U.S. Citizen / Green Card Holder.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
