Junior Developer

The Silk Companies LLC, operating Silk Title Co., is seeking a Junior Developer to join our on-site team in Warwick, RI. This role centers on building and maintaining ASP.NET Core Web APIs, performing QA and testing, and developing unit and integration tests, while also creating RPA bots and back-office tooling for a Windows based environment that leverages WinForms and SQL Server. You will gain hands-on experience across the stack, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to mortgage and title workflows with reliable, well-tested software.

Responsibilities

• Approach work with humility, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn.
• Maintain and extend multiple production ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• QA test new functionality and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and integration tests.
• Develop and deploy scripts, services, and stored procedures for a back-office WinForms SQL Server application.
• Gather requirements for new RPA processes.
• Develop and deploy new RPA bots and related features.
• Maintain solid full-stack development capabilities, not limited to just front-end or back-end work.
• Work within Windows development and production environments.
• Ability to switch between tasks and manage multiple workstreams.
• Interpret and implement business logic from minimal requirements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience, or 1-2+ professional years with a four-year degree.
• Experience building Open API and REST-ful systems using JSON.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• .NET, C# version 6 or newer.
• .NET with Entity Framework.
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with a frontend framework such as Svelte, React, Vue, or Angular.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Nice to have: UiPath or other RPA software.
• Nice to have: Mortgage, fintech, and/or title industry experience.
