Jr. Java Developer

BTI Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Jr. Java Developer to support ongoing development and maintenance work for web applications in a role based in Plano, TX (onsite). This position combines server-side design and programming with some user interface and application module development, while participating across the full development lifecycle.

The work emphasizes careful problem-finding and the ability to adapt quickly within existing business functions and the technical layout of current applications. If you have Java experience in web-based systems, this role provides hands-on involvement from requirements through implementation, testing, and documentation.

What you’ll do

• Contribute primarily to web application system maintenance and server-side design and programming
• Support traditional user interface and application module development
• Work through the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and brainstorming, analysis, coding, testing, and documentation
• Demonstrate strong problem-finding skills and adapt quickly to existing application structures tied to business functions and technical design

What you bring

• 1 to 5+ years of web-based related system development, including Java experience developing or maintaining intranet systems
• English fluency in verbal communication and writing
• Java Developer experience with knowledge in one or more of the following: Full J2EE stack, RIA framework, Spring, iBatis/Hibernate/JPA, Java, JDBC, JSP/Servlet, Web Services, JMS
• Experience with HTML/DHTML and jQuery/JSon, including JavaScript and AJAX
• Experience with Oracle database server, SQL, and PL/SQL procedures
• Experience with data analytics & visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI (preferred)
• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field (preferred) or higher

Salary

USD 56,000 - 83,000 per year
