Job Developer/Employment Specialist

The Job Developer/Employment Specialist will develop employment opportunities, build employer partnerships, coordinate training, and support residents toward educational, employment, retention, and career advancement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop employment opportunities, cultivate employer partnerships, coordinate training and educational advancement services, and support participants in achieving sustainable employment and long-term career growth
• Maintain and expand a book of business with employers and hiring partners across industries including construction and skilled trades, healthcare, security, transportation and logistics, hospitality and food service, retail and customer service, administrative and office support, and technology and emerging industries
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly placement goals established by leadership
• Create measurable employment pipelines and hiring opportunities that drive participant placement, retention, and career advancement
• Maintain strong employer engagement and consistent hiring activity throughout the year

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required or related field preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in workforce development, higher education, or related fields
• Strong ability to cultivate and maintain partnerships
• Strong project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, internet research, and social media
• Outcomes-driven with analytical skills and experience using data to inform programmatic decisions
• Highly motivated, able to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Flexible with availability to work weeknights and occasional Saturdays
• Passion for social justice
