Java SDK / Library Developer

OpenKyber seeks a senior Forge and Jira Cloud developer to architect and deliver Forge-based Jira Cloud applications, UI components with React, and Jira REST API integrations to support our platform.

Summary

The role centers on delivering Forge-based Jira Cloud applications, user interface components using React, HTML and CSS, and integrations with Jira REST APIs to support OpenKyber's Jira ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve Forge-based Jira Cloud apps and extensions aligned with OpenKyber requirements.
• Create user interface features using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support the Forge plugin experience.
• Implement automation and integrations through Jira REST APIs to enable custom workflows, data extraction, and system integration across the OpenKyber ecosystem.
• Develop bespoke plugins and integrations leveraging Forge and Atlassian SDK exposure as applicable within OpenKyber.
• Contribute to OpenKyber Jira-related initiatives delivering custom functionalities and integrations, including data synchronization with Snowflake when required.
• Take ownership of end-to-end deliverables: estimate work, execute it, and deliver on schedule per sprint velocity and engineering standards.
• Follow development guidelines, including code check-in and branching practices, and maintain quality with minimal repeated peer review findings.
• Operate within OpenKyber's execution model through assigned Jira tickets, delivering features and performing iterative plugin rollouts.
• Participate in project reviews, reporting, administrative tasks, and provide first-line support for issues related to delivered services.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on Forge development experience for Jira Cloud with senior-level delivery ownership.
• Proficiency in React and JavaScript with HTML/CSS for UI build-out.
• Strong Jira REST API experience for automation, integration, and data-oriented work.
• Working knowledge of Jira administration concepts such as schemes, permissions, and issue types to design scalable enterprise solutions.
• Solid SDLC discipline and Git-based development practices.
